Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha – Welcome to Tanzania

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by a Porini Africa Adventure representative and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Enjoy a relaxed evening and safari briefing.

Arusha

Day 2: Arusha → Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most underrated wildlife destinations. The drive takes you through scenic Maasai landscapes and small villages before entering the park.

Tarangire is famous for:

  • Large herds of African elephants

  • Ancient baobab trees

  • Seasonal swamps and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife year-round

Enjoy an extensive game drive, spotting giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, lions, leopards, and more than 400 bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park.

In the late afternoon, exit the park and drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire

Day 3: Tarangire Area → Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a compact yet diverse park nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment.

Lake Manyara is well known for:

  • Lush groundwater forest

  • Flamingos and other water birds

  • Large troops of baboons and monkeys

Day 4: Karatu → Serengeti National Park (Game Drive En Route)

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The drive passes through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering stunning views of highlands, Maasai villages, and open plains.

As soon as you enter Serengeti, the safari begins. The vast savannah is home to:

Day 5: Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Depending on the season, you may witness:

  • The Great Migration

  • Predator hunts

  • Large prides of lions resting on kopjes

Day 6: Serengeti → Ngorongoro Crater

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most wildlife-dense areas in Africa. The crater floor is home to:
